Marinsel's design reimagines its narrow, elongated layout by making the most of its defining feature: the expansive storefront window. The store becomes a stage for objects, drawing passersby to engage with the displays through the large glazed opening.
Powder-coated steel tubes trace the interior like a continuous drawing line, anchoring the space with their minimal presence as they transform into supports for display surfaces, clothing rods, and other functional elements. The verticality of the tubes contrasts with the floating surfaces of freestanding shelves, creating a dynamic interplay between grounded forms and weightless elements. Above, the removal of the suspended ceiling revealed existing installations, painted white to seamlessly merge with the raw simplicity and lightness of the design.
“Each sculptural object is part of the performance—a narrative unfolding on stage—while meeting the store’s functional needs,” says Luiz Albisser. “By blurring the threshold between exterior and interior, the furnishings become integral to the staging and visual storytelling.”
The result is a cohesive, multifunctional interior that transforms a compact footprint into a luminous platform for objects, connecting Marinsel to the surrounding cityscape.
